I’m trying to create a party with a friend. We’re in the same area on the same server, but seem to be in different instances. I remember there used to be an option to join that party member’s instance. I’m not seeing that now. I do however see an option to join in the party menu, but get an error stating that the specified channel doesn’t exist.

How do we form a party and play together? Luck?

Is he in an instance or standing right next you? I never had that problem, maybe one of you is in an overflow?

This: if one is in the official map and one in overflow the person in overflow gets the error message. That makes sense cause there is an overflow cause the main map is full.you cant join in a full map. ask your friend to join in with you in the overflow and your together.

I have had this happen occasionally to. Somes times the option Join in Overflow does not appear. In that case it usually is best to have the entire party rezone, just hop out to the closest map and then back. This worked for me every time.
