Guild Wars 2

So i was wondering, what is the meaning of party?
I like being in a party with others but i like also benefiting from it. Are there any positives when being in a party? Because i haven’t noticed any (apart from joining a story or a dungeon together). It would be cool to be able to share experience or have some extra party skills that can be unlocked as you progress like there are some in every guild. I think it would be a good way to connect people and make them experience the world better.Maybe i haven’t used the guild system properly but most of the times people in the guild don’t care about the guild they are in at all,they care only about their benefits from it.
What’s your opinion on that?

You have to be in a party in order to travel to the same dungeon or personal story instance. You can also “Join In” to a party member’s map so you are playing in the same instance of a PvE map (both in overflow, or both in regular). You can also use Party chat (type /p to open it) instead of having to use /say or /guild or /whisper. Other than that, you don’t get benefits specifically from being in a party, like quest objective completion sharing.

I see.. too bad though i would like to be something like that. Maybe they will do some changes in the next patch or something.
