Why do they release patches during peak hours? Wouldn’t it be better for both Anet and the consumer if patches were released during the day in off-peak hours? It seems like every Anet release is patched during the even when the most players are on.

I think patching during off-peak hours would make a lot of players happier and would also spread out the bandwidth load for Anet a bit more. Or maybe it’s just me.

If I had to wait another day for this, I would go Mad King Thorn’n around town, and end up in jail.

It’s the Halloween patch. I think everyone wants it out as soon as possible – people have been complaining all day it wasn’t fast enough.

So patch monday morning instead of Monday night….just a thought.

It’s like waiting a week for the next episode of Game of Thrones only to be interrupted by a presidential debate for an hour.

it’s 06:00 (AM) in central europe right now. so for us it kinda is patch monday morning… :/

It’s always peak time somewhere. Take a bite of reality and deal with it.

I’ve always hated that about Americans in general. They feel entitled to not have patches on THEIR peak time and sod the rest of us.

Whats the issue?
The initial patch that brought all this new fun content? Did it upset your farming or something? Reset your luck sigil?

Or the second patch that fixed some issues?
Because that second one took all of 3 minutes for me to download and get back in game.

Some people are so ungrateful.

As others have said, its always “peak time” somewhere in the world.
In SWTOR patching would happen midnight american time, which would be 8am euro time, and the servers and forums would be down for 8 hours!!! On my day off work!!! every week!!1111oneoneone!!11

The patching process gw2 has that means as little as 3 mins downtime is a Godsend

Halloween event stuff (lots of it) + bug fixes and it took what? 4 mins to patch? I’m not too upset about it being at 8pm EST (my time).

With an international audience, patching is always going to infringe on someone. ANet will patch during their normal workday most likely. Pacific Time working hours.

As an international game, it doesn’t matter when they patch, it will always be an inconvenience for somebody.

And that somebody will let you know about it.

Wow a 15 minute patch and you go crazy over it? really? wow is all I can say without a realistic insult.
