Guild Wars 2

Hey guys,

Guild Wars 2 is my main stay in gaming. While I do play a ton of games, GW2 is my staple. That being said, I am upgrading my graphics card and monitor to suit later this year. Any of you playing at 1440p, does the game look better in 1440p or is the difference marginal?

The difference is huge for me. 1080p looks terrible on any monitor over 24". 27" IPS g-sync is the best spot for gaming right now if you have a good PC. This is just imo some people say they see no difference from 1080p to 1440p which is crazy to me.

I would be going 27" IPS FreeSync because I am getting an RX 480. This card is just a temporary upgrade for a year or two at most, when I would like to get a Vega or Navi card. Thanks!

I have a 1080p 24" monitor. When VSR was enabled I tested playing at 1440p downsampled. Haven’t come back to 1080p yet.

I use a 27" Samsung IPS screen at 1440p, and its amazing, you wont regret it.

1440p is naice man. When 4k gets a higher refresh rate, I will upgrade ^~^

In almost game, including gw2, 4k is a huge improvement over 1080, which I used to play at. You probably won’t get much over 60 fps for a while, though.

Anything above 1080p is amazing over all, any game. But I play at 2560×1600 on a 30" Panel and some areas of the game really flourish with that size/Resolution combo.

But remember with the larger resolution the harder the performance hit comes. So make sure your PC can handle the higher resolution or you might end up not being really happy with it.
