so im doing my story line. and every time i try to do the The Ruined City of Arah (Story) dung with 5 people group. just as im about to enter it says there was a problem with the network error try again? :s HELP MEEE!

This sounds like a case of you’re EU and you’re in a group with NA players (Or the other way around if you’re NA) and when NA Player A starts the dungeon, you get that network error while all the other (if present) NA players join it.

i think thats it.. :s how do i fix it?

You can’t really, you’re basically going to have to be aware if players are NA/EU that are in you’re group.

yeah i know! but im in EU i think and no1 is here…:/ so is there a way i can change to go to NA ?

Well you can always transfer for the price of 500 gems for medium, 1000 for high or 1800 very high server population. Afraid you can’t guest onto NA servers.

I’m going to take a wild guess, did you use http://gw2lfg.com/ and not switch to the EU section?

yes thats what i was asking! how do you get gems? and its worth it rite? transfering?

Gem prices @ http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Gem and I honestly can’t say if it’s worth transferring since I don’t know what your current server is like and what the NA community is like.

i did use it :p and i switched but theres not many people there as compared to the other one. and if i switch will i lose my guild?

If you switch from EU to US and if you guild is on Eu servers you will basically lose it. You will retain membership, but lose access to all upgardes and you won’t be able to even play with players from your guild (Eu server).

There are people doing Arah both in EU and US servers, just turn to EU tab on lfg. Of course getting group won’t be instant and it’s possible you have to wait a while or for better time frame, since story modes are not so popular. Evenings are your best bet since there is a more people then.

And if you want to switch servers only to do once a singe dungeon it’s not worth it. Getting a group can take a while but that’s all.

If no one in your guild will help you with this, then you should first look for another guild..

Try guesting on another EU server before wasting gems on a transfer to a NA server just to do Arah story. It will cost you more gems to transfer back to your ‘home’ server afterwards.

Arah story is long, takes around 2 hours depending on the group. Not everyone has the time or inclination to help a non-guild mate do this. I would think asking on a weekend you would have a better chance of finding a group for this.
