Guild Wars 2

Ok so I had it with my Elementalist, I’m retiring him for a while (Lv 62). It takes just too much focus to play, it is really fragile and requires constant Attunement swapping to achieve what other professions could achieve more easily, I suppose.

I’m just tired of having to dodge/kite for my life (literally) against every single mob. Even 1 common monster alone can kill me if I am not careful (usually need my summons to help), and I’m not killing fast enough to compensate, so really I want to play other profession for now.

So I ask you, what would be a really simple, plain dumb profession to play? I just want to kill stuff without much stress – you know, I play to relax, I’m not a competitive gamer, I play mostly PvE and coop.

Go ranger, fun and rewarding

Guardian. Easy to kill things and lasts long time!

I play ele and I’m on the fence with it. I’m sticking with it since I play w/wife and our chars go together.

Having played her ranger, I can say it is far, far less frenetic than my ele. I don’t think any class is going to exempt you from the Jackie Chan routine, however.

I agree with you on Ele being a pain, having to quick swamp your augments is a pain, also unlocking all those skills on a new toon…just a pain.

As others have said, Ranger has a pet that can be pretty durable. Guardian has lots of passive and active abilities that make it very tough to kill, so both can be relatively easy to play with. Thiefs, elementals, can be more complex. Necros are tough, but pets are a bit bugged. Warrior is also not a bad option. Pretty good damage, and also quite durable.

Stay away from a Mesmer!! Even tho I play one . In my opinion a ranger or a guardian would fulfill your “easy” and " kills stuff " requirements.

Looks like going melee and smashing face is what I want to relieve some stress.
