Hi looking for some insight after an ambiguous answer from support. I purchased the Ultimate upgrade for PoF that includes 4000 Gems, when do I get those Gems is it within 72 hours of release of PoF or within 72 hours of purchase of the upgrade?

The response I got from support was

“Please be advised that it can take up to 72 hours, from the date of activation, for the 4000 gems to be deposited in your account.”

I read this as the Gems will be in my account sometime within 72 hours of the upgrades release. Am I correct in assuming this?

72 hours from when it was purchased.

The delay is to allow the card payment to go through – including a check that the card is legitimate.

When HoT was up for pre-purchase there was a big problem with gold sellers using stolen or fake cards to buy the Ultimate Edition, converting all 4000 gems to gold and either selling it directly from that account (knowing the account would be banned once the transaction failed to go through) or transferring it to other accounts.

This way they can’t do that.

I think they mean activation of the Serial Key (creating or upgrading the account), though I always thought it was 72 hours after purchase. Still, they can’t send the Gems to an account that hasn’t been activated, so I guess that makes more sense.

I did the pre-order Tuesday night and the gems arrived with a mail announcement Thursday night.

Mine arrived around 23 hours ago. Bought at more or less when it became available.

I bought it almost exactly 48 hours ago and mine haven’t arrived yet. My plan at the moment is that if they’re not here by Monday I’ll email Support.

Got mine this morning. Pre-purchased Tuesday night

I received mine last night, which would have been around 54 hours after purchase. So, you’ll get them.

Got mine sometime in the last 10 hours, so about 50-60 hours after purchase.

I bought on the 1st of August, and now its the 6th of August. So be prepared for a wait! I used Paypal, which after reading this thread, may have contributed to the delay, oh well.

When did you activate your code? On the 1st? or later?

Same with me, bought it and activated the code last Tuesday and I’ve still not got my gems yet. Sent a support ticket on Saturday which i also haven’t heard back from yet, getting kind of annoying now.

Bear in mind there’s a good chance your Support ticket hasn’t even been seen yet. I’m not sure if Support work over the weekends (if they do I imagine it’s a reduced team focusing on emergency issues), and if they’re based in America it’s still the middle of the night for them.

But I’m sure you’ll get a response promptly once they’re awake and at work.
