I’ve been trying to figure out how effect stacking works. I understand things that stack intensity, but not effects that stack duration.

Specifically, I’m working out an engineer build with pistols and the grenade kit. If I hit a target with both Poison Dart Volley and Poison Grenades, how do they stack?

Short story: things that stack in duration, like poison, always apply in order from most to least intense. If something is poisoned, then it gets hit with another, higher DPS poison, the current poison is put “on hold”, essentially, and the new poison gets bumped to the head of the list.
