Guild Wars 2

So I was on the map Wayfarer Foothills. The NPC is Blane the Insane. Anyways I go up and kill him. Get my skill point (I think, I didn’t check my skill screen) and go about my way. Later on I notice on my map the skill point at Blane the Insane was not completed. I’m like “wtf mate” so I go back to try again. So I kill him again. This time I’m pretty sure I was at 0 skill points. Anyways I get the skill point for killing him. And the skill point challenge STILL isn’t completed.. So I’m like “whoa wtf.” So I talk to the npc and it gives me ANOTHER skill point and then the skill point challenge is actually completed.

If this is right then that means you could potentially infinitely farm skill points from this npc so long as you don’t talk to him. Please don’t ban me I didn’t mean to exploit anything if this is an exploit. I don’t really want to test this further cause I don’t want to be banned.

I’ve killed him on all 4 of my characters and always got completed each time, so either something’s weird with just you or this is new.

I have had this happen to me on a few skill challenges. The challenger went agro before I spoke to them, and I can confirm that I got the skill point but the map didn’t update to reflect it (in one case it was the last piece I needed for 100% completion, which I didn’t get at that time).

I mapped out of the zone and back in and immediately got the skill challenge to update properly and got my 100%. I was able to fight the skill mob again (he went hostile again without me talking to him) but did not get a second skill point, so in my experience anyway it was just a bug, not an exploit.

This particular point I remember and it is not an exploit. After fighting the npc you have to talk to him. I noticed this after killing him started to run away and noticed I didn’t get the point on map or in skill page. I turned around and talked to him and then I received point and saw the animation. For you a certain time must have passed so you had to re fight him to get it.
