The effect of the Potion of Ascalonian Mages is removed upon switching zones. This is a SERIOUS BUG. I wasted about 10-15 silver of supplies testing this, and whether I move through a gate, or through a waypoint, the effect of the potion is removed upon changing area. PLEASE fix this, I don’t want to waste 5 silver (for one of the ingredients) every time I switch zones. I search the forums thoroughly, and could not find posts reporting my exact bug. PLEASE fix this.

The same thing happens with sigil stacking effects, like corruption and bloodlust.

I doubt this is a bug — you’ll probably have more impact if you create a new post in the suggestion forum.

Most effects disappear when zoning. The exceptions are bonuses for nourishments: food + oil/stones/crystals.

I would imagine the reason all other effects disappear on zoning is it would be too easy to exploit them: enter queensdale and kill 25 foes for max stacks → zone to Fireheart Rise → enter CoF → swap weapons and you’d enjoy risk free extra stats. This reasoning would also apply to environmental weapons/effects.

I’m not sure why this is also true for temporary transformations (like the potion of ascalonian mages), but that’s consistent across the board with all tonics and the like. Even miniatures have to be respawned when you zone.
