Power vs Critical Chance + Feriocity
Yep, but you would have to do the math to find the exact number. What’s your idea, btw?
Do items with feriocity without power even exist ? Berserker, Knights, Valkyrie and Assasin at least all have power.
Ups .. Knights also doesn’t have feriocity of course ..
Best MMOs are the ones that never make it. Therefore Stargate Online wins.

I try to create an grenadier-engineer build and try to find out when it is better to invest in critical chance + ferocity rather than in power.
There are some things that are only affected by your precision/ferocity (such as reflected projectiles), and some enemies are immune to crits. I’d say just go Berserker, can’t get wrong with that.

There is also Cavalier but that also has power. On the other hand choosing between Assassin and Berserker is asking the same question as the OP. The main problem is what other people have mentioned and that is the fact that there are too many things in the game which are just immune to crits
I always prefer precision since some sigills and also a lot traits trigger on crits.

Not sure how accurate this is anymore since they re-did crit, but it might help in giving a ballpark idea of the ratios.

Basically power becomes more superior as your critical chance increases for one simple reason: power affects 100% of your DPS.
If you increase your power by 10%, that should make your critical and non-critical hits do about 10% more damage = 10% overall increase in damage.
Now if you have a 50% critical chance, assuming your criticals do 200% damage, you can easily calculate 50% of your hits, the criticals, are accounting for 66% of your DPS, while the 50% non-critical hits only do 33% of your DPS. So if you increase precision more, you’ll only be increasing the DPS of half of your attacks, which only represent 33% of your DPS. This gets more and more extreme the higher your precision is. Power will always affect 100% of your precision, and therefor becomes superior for DPS once your critical chance is high enough.
You can make an excel spreadsheet with formulas and play around with the numbers to see how different items will affect your total damage output.
