I was just wondering, is it worth buying a precursor, such as Dusk, from the trading post?

If not, how long does the masteries/collections for the precursor generally take, and how much does it cost to craft them?

How long it will take is going to vary a lot depending on your play time and what you do but you can speed things up with +% exp consumables and other buffs. Right now the lunar new year fireworks gives additional exp buffs so it’s a great time for that. Also you only need to have the first tier completed to get started.
