Does someone know: If I use this, will the stats of the trinket be overwritten with those of the queen bee trinket?

No. The stats of the trinket will be the same, and the stats on the upgrade will just be the stats of the upgrade and will be added to your attributes.

The Queen Bee functions as a jewel, not a trinket. That is, it fits in the upgrade slot of any L80 trinket, with rarity of exotic or less (no ascended trinks).

Be sure to check if the intended trinket is salvageable before you apply the Queen Bee, otherwise you might be stuck with a soulbound, unsalvageable trinket (i.e. just that one toon can use it). If you do want to recover it, use a Black Lion Salvage Kit.

I have no idea why they make something this fun and then don’t let people use it in the harder-to-acquire gear.

Perhaps that’s a reason for them to bring 500 jewelcrafting into the game
