I am curious if being able to preview items in the trading post is going to be possible. Ive been trying to find a nice looking axe but I cant preview to see if I would like the item in the trading post. Even listing the name of the seller would help cause then maybe the seller could link you the item for you to see. Or does anyone else have an alternative way to see what is up on the trading post

nope, i’m hoping its on a long list of things that needs to be fixed/added to the trading post.

Hopefully it’s just an oversight on their part and they forgot to add the functionality, rather than something they they can’t do or is very difficult to do.

This should be a priority seeing as the game gear is all about cosmetics in the end. I’ve had to buy several items now just to preview and turn and sell them back.

I would hope it wouldn’t be too difficult to add in. You have the preview option on almost every other screen (inventory, hero, vendors, etc.) I was looking for nice gloves to transmute and I was getting frustrated by not being able to tell what they look like so I’m with you on this.

I haven’t tried this so please tell me if it doesn’t work but you may have a work around. Can you link items from the TP in chat? If so link it in chat then right click the link in chat to preview.

Drintar, I’ve actually done it that way and could have sworn you could right click over the icon on items on the trading post and see them …

Well I’ll be darned, I could have sworn I’ve done it that way .. just jumped on to test it out and nope, can’t do it either way.

Drintar, that would have been another good alternative way to fix it as well. I do hope that someone from ArenaNet looks at this, that way we might know.
