Problem with skill points
Forgot to say, i try and keep my amunition up to date with trading post (not every lvl tho, but i do it)
Just shout out for help in map chat, usually somebody will come and help.
Any you can’t do can wait, just go back later and get them.
Depends which ones they are specifically. Sometimes you can sneak around to access something from an angle you didn’t see at first to get what you need without having to fight. Some of them you really have no choice but to find someone to help you.
Just move on and come back periodically or find someone in a city (or in your guild if you’re in one) who will tag along for a few minutes to knock the troublesome ones out.

like several have said, specific tactics vary depending on each skill point encounter, but as some general advice…
depending on class, your tactic differs – with most of the skill challenges, I find that if I’m not able to tank and spank (stand close and hit with hth weapons), I can usually succeed by kiteing (that’s, picking a ranged weapon, and constantly moving out of hth range and shooting constantly, whittling down your opponent)
so, I recommend, pick a set of weapons with close combat AND a good, strong, ranged option – if you don’t have a close combat option, you’ll probably be all right, but every class I know of has at least one good strong ranged option, and you should make sure you have one equipped.
then, I recommend, fight till you’re about half health, using dodge and hth liberally – if you go down to half REALLY fast, next time round, probably just start and stay with ranged.
once you reach the point where you’re using ranged attacks, what you generally want to do, is wait till hand-to-hand enemies reach you – don’t run around constantly, because they’ll just keep chasing, and you usually move backwards slower than they can chase – but, when they actually reach hth range, they stop to attack, and then you can dodge or just run away, and usually avoid their attack
fire whenever you can, and make sure you keep a close eye on any skills that slow, knock-back, knock-down or immobilize your opponents.
if your enemies are ranged AND hth, continue to evade the hth guys as mentioned above, but prioritize killing the ranged guys first – this is made especially hard if, like me, the kitten system keeps re-picking targets for you, which I hate like a motherkitten.
anyway, that’s a quick spot of advice- again, can’t say for sure that it’ll help whatever particular skill challenge you’re having trouble with, but hopefully it’ll help
thanks a lot for all the advices guys ^^
Yeah, there were a few skill points that gave me problems early on, too. What I generally did after a few unsuccessful tries was just move on, level up a bit, and try again later. Leveling is pretty fast in this game, and while you’ll be scaled down to the level of the zone when you return, by then you will have had access to new traits, skills, and better gear, which can make a big difference in tough encounters. Don’t frustrate yourself in the short term if a new, useful skill or trait is just a few levels away :-)
I can feel your pain. My LvL 80 tried to get a skill point in Orr that was camped by a champion risen knight. This was before the latest patch when Orr was practically a graveyard while people were farming invasions.
Elementalist is actually one of the hardest classes to play solo with, simply for the fact that you need to spec correctly, and swap between your attunements to get maximum effect and not least of all due to the fact they have all the durability of a wet paper bag. My experiences are from lower level Ele play and with helping my girlfriend out with hers, but here are some things that may help you out.
For solo play, it is all about survival and not just about doing maximum damage. For this reason, try putting some traits and gear stats into Vitality and Toughness to allow you to take a bit more of a beating. It’s a subtle trade off as you dont want to give up too much firepower or fights will last too long and you won’t be THAT tough. Damage is good still, but maximise this with your combo’s. For example using a Scepter/Dagger combo would mean you can cast dragon tooth (on a stationary target so as not to miss) and then cast Phoenix at the area and it hits for a huge amount, both good AoE damage as well. Staff is more an AoE weapon but as long as you are comfortable with a more busy spec then it will do very nicely.
As for the fight, when you have skill point fights with multiple enemies, I always find it much easier to kill the adds first and then kill the veteran last – the normal mobs go down relatively fast, dealing with one mob is much easier than three and the veterans don’t do much more damage than a normal mob in my experience but having three pounding on you takes it’s toll quickly.
You can try getting used to switching into different sttunements so you maximise your self-healing (water), damage output (fire), defence (earth) and control (air), grab the Arcane Shield spell, and make sure to time your dodges correctly (will take practice but since you don’t have much other protection available this is even more important). GW2 is a very mobile game, in that you are expected to be constantly on the move, avoiding attacks and generally “staying out of the red stuff on the floor” more than most other MMO’s out there. Essentially your healing is meant for the damage you simply can’t avoid, but you are expected to avoid a lot of the damage by carefully timed dodge-rolls and well timed spells for protection etc.
You should be able to solo most content that is your current level without needing to upgrade weapons and such all the time through the trading post. if you are struggling with anything such as personal-story quest chains or with skill point fights then check to see if there is not some essential mechanic you have overlooked (I remember one quest chain as a Norn Warrior which seemed impossible until I realised you needed to use the molotov kittentail in the room which did insane damage and made the fight trivial). Some fights may need a different tactical approach. But failing all that simply ask around in chat, ask guildees and wait and see if people come to do it too.
Sorry for the length of post, just trying to help out with whatever I could think of. Good luck.

You can always ask in Lion’s Arch if anyone else needs that skill point and would like to party.
Also, my server (Stormbluff Isle) does full completion of one area every Monday (6pm server time). You can guest and participate, maybe next Monday it’ll include skill points that you need.
thank you a lot for all answers, i actually finally tried to do better and got some of those skill points with help of ur advice guys =) Think will ask help for some others. And i love elementalist, i feel it’s my class here, tho i’ll try thief later
