I don’t know if this is just because I’m bugging out or there is some sort of limit on how many you can find per day.

So, right now, I have found:

Goblet
Legionaire
Compass
Logbook

I need the Swordbelt and the Ship-in-a-bottle, but every time I go over a snow/dirt covered object, it says I already have the item returned. It’s a bit frustrating to have to search for these things and then find out you’re unable to get it. xD Is it a 1 per day sort of deal, or what’s going on?

I dunno if this is even the right forum for this, but hey…

It’s not one a day, you just have to be patient enough to run around until you’ve found all 3 in Wayfarers and the 3 in Diessa. If you have previously picked up some and returned them to LA you will get the message you stated. But there should now be three snow or dirt covered objects on each map for you to find.

Can they be literally anywhere in the map? I have been looking for days and have bit found one so far. Will you be able to see the snow/dirt covered object from afar or only when you stand next to it?
Any advise is welcome.

Duilfy did maps of spawn points (once an object spawns it’s there for a good while, but it can spawn at any of the points).

Though I found my first object at a point not on the map.

It is very hard to see from a distance, it’s just a yellow sparkle on the ground that doesn’t get a yellow tag when you hold ctrl down. On my server people are kindly aiding each other in map chat and some stand by a found object so as to mark it for the next people coming.

Having the same issue as OP, I have 4 of the items and no matter how many dirt or snow covered objects I poke around in it keeps telling me I already have them… Very frustrating!

Only 4 objects for me as well. Made an experiment with my guild. Split Diessa Plateau in sectors among 30 people and everybody scoured, and by scoured I mean scrutinized their sectors and looked at every pixel on the ground.
We found only one dirt-covered object on the whole map. Used it to get 2 of the items on different days. Does not work for the third, though.

You’re probably finding the same items after they move locations (not sure when exactly they move, but its probably once a day or something). Each item picks one of the random locations (use the map link above) and stays there for a period of time, then they all get randomized and shuffled around.

Best bet is to try and find them all around the same time, so you’re relatively sure they haven’t moved.
