Guild Wars 2

Good Evening, guys and girls!

I played as a Ranger for quite some time now and I somehow reached a point where this class just isn’t fun anymore. I’m now looking for a new profession and I just can’t decide which one to play. I tried out a Necromancer since this was my main profession in the original Guild Wars, but he just doesn’t feel right as well.

I’m basicly looking for a class, which is good for everything, I don’t want seperate characters for PvP, PvE and WvW. And since I get bored pretty quickly it should have some variety in playstyle.

Can anybody give me some advice? I’d really appreciate it.

It might help if you tell people what you liked and didn’t like about Ranger so they can make an informed recommendation. As far as being good in all modes all classes are, necro lacks good group support so isn’t great in dungeons but still fine if your not in an optimized speed clear.

I really liked the mobility and the ranged combat. Also the pets I had and the condition spaming in PvP. But he is somehow not appealing to me anymore. :/

Elementalist – they have mobility, and ranged combat. They also very good in all aspects of the game. Lacks a good condition focused build, all the meta builds focus on power/hybrid.

Warrior – they have the mobility but are not that great at ranged play. Their best ranged weapon plays better in mid to melee range. They do have decent condition builds as well as power.

Engineer – awesome ranged play, very good mobility, has a place in every game mode. They have both power/condition builds avaliable to them.

I really thought a whole while and watched a whole bunch of videos about the classes and at least managed to shrink the choice of possible classes that could all suit my needs, which is the Warrior and the Elementalist. I really love the thought of summoning weapons whenever I want and do neat combos to blow everything apart. The Warrior therefore got a huge collection of weapons to choose from and I like the banners very much. Picking a class was never so difficult in a game. :I
