Guild Wars 2

I was wondering what some of the more durable classes are. I don’t want burst, I want sustainability, the ability to outlast your opponent.
I already know about the guardian, but I’d prefer something with more reliable range.
Which professions fulfill this requirement?

As far as pvp is concerned, an alchemy focused engineer with pistol/shield and elixir gun can have some really good durability and staying power. The trick is in the combination of CC, heals and defensive traits. It’s rock paper scissors at the end of the day, but often times I’m able to survive long enough against 2-3 enemy players to drag them away from a point or keep them from capping a point until backup arrives.

And in 1v1 players usually get bored of fighting this against a defensive build like this and run off to some more lucrative endeavor.

Although I generally run a far more defensive build than this, you can tweak it to suit your play style.
