Profession choosing
-Easy, nice class to play
-PvE: Mapping, events, questing, etc..
-Good for solo play
-Less need to swap weapons
-Easy for beginners
With all of the above in mind, I would strongly suggest giving Ranger a try. It’s great for solo PvE roaming, and it’s really useful for other game modes that you might get into later on if you become dedicated to the game.
This is my build for pve- http://gw2skills.net/editor/?vNAQJATRnUqA1sitqAGsAEtgl9A7pDcEeawx186fdpJEAOblI3zA-TBSBABmpEkS1fIa/BAeSBXcIAy7CAclyP801EA4A43fz3fDc+5nf+5n3v/+7v/+7QAWB-e
If you don’t want to heal, or you don’t have HoT… then I’d swap druid for probably nature magic. For weapon, you can just camp longbow for the most part.
For WvW I use same everything except: some utility skills, swap beast mastery for wilderness survival, and use better nourishment (buffs from food). Also I use a different alternative pet (I like pink moa as main pet all the time for the funny screetch and daze skill, but that’s just personal preference).
Pretty easy to learn, and still fun. Even with berserker gear, still has great survivability.
I hope this helps.
