Hi, I came from GW1 and am just starting out, but since there is no Ritualist in GW2 (I hope not yet anyway!), I was wondering, is there another profession that is close to it or similar?

My friend who strictly played a ritualist in GW1 said that the engineer is the closest in his opinion. There isn’t a class that is exactly like a ritualist.

Can they be as support-y as a Ritualist? I liked that I could be support-y and offensive at the same time without having to switch out anything and the build worked well together.

Yes, they can do both. I’d suggest you try one out and see how you like it. He really is enjoying his. And they have medium armor which is really nice. You will have 4 more slots to use to make alts and can play around with different classes to see which you like best.

Edit: By the way, my mains in GW1 were my ranger and my ritualist.
