Hey!
So after 5 months, I still wasn’t able to get to the end of the game. Moreover, on my highest level character(60), I have just started the Order storyline.
I am a type of person who likes to stick to a main character, and bimp it out all the way. However, I have still no idea which class would fit in my hands, wouldn’t bore me.
So far, here is what I’ve got:
Thief – 61
Mesmer – 47
Necromancer – 31
Ranger – 25
The last one was the Mesmer, and it’s a blast in WvW (lacking perma-swiftness tho), but PvE is pretty boring with the very limited weapon sets available. Thief is OK, but boring as well, nothing interesting in gameplay. Necromancer is same as Mesmer, but I don’t like it in WvW either, so it’s crossed. Ranger is just annoying, it’s nothing more than pew-pew-pew, dead enemy, rinse and repeat.
So I really have to choose now, finally, and I want to make this decision right, because starting areas are getting annoying as hell.
I was really thinking on making a Warrior, because the many weapon types it can carry is “Truly, truly outrageous”! But I may be wrong, and it could be boring as well. I fear the class is just plain simple, after a Mesmer.
The other one was the Elementalist. Seems interesting with the attunement swapping, and mastering it is sure a whole new level of gameplay. Now, the thing is, only staff, dagger, scepter, focus are available, that’s not so much. I would like to hear how attunements compensate for this.
Guardian and Engineer are left. Engineers are just NO, Guardian may be okay tho.
Could you give me some points for the professions you would suggest me?
Few extra questions:
- How is Warrior roaming in WvW?
- How is Elementalist solo in PvE?
- Is glass cannon D/D Ele viable (PvE/WvW)?
Thanks in advance!
