Does protection increase your toughness by 33% or directly augment incoming damage by 33%? thanks.

It decreases incoming damage by 33%. The decrease in damage relative to your toughness isn’t a linear function. After a certain point it has diminishing returns.

So it’s a multiplier. Thank you.
