Are purchased bag slots applicable to a character or to a character slot?

In other words if I were to recycle a character that had extra bag slots would they be lost forever or would they be applied to the next character that I create in that character slot?

No, purchasing extra bag slots on a character is for that character only.
If you delete that character you also delete those extra bag slots.
Yes, they would be lost forever.

dont do it,
they are unlocked on that character only.
buy more bank slots instead,
or make your own guild for a private bank etc.

I was hoping for a dev to reply but the helpful moderator moved this question to a forum which the devs don’t read.

For the record I have not purchased any bag slots, all I am looking for is a solid answer along the lines of “yes/no, this is exactly what happens…”.

For future reference devs tend to move questions here which they think/know other players are equally capable of giving a correct answer to. They couldn’t possibly answer every question players request an ‘official’ answer to and if they tried they’d never get time to do anything else.

If another player answers your question and you’re not satisfied they’re correct you can just wait for more responses – other people will either agree or correct it.

In this case Mimizu is correct. Extra bag slots are tied to the character, not the character slot, and if you delete the character you will lose them.

For account-based storage that doesn’t go away with a character, buy bank slots instead.

extra bag slots you buy on a character would be lost if you deleted said character.

Bank slots are account wide.

That’s a bit sucky, but i guess it was designed that way on purpose.

It’s like this on every single major MMO forum in existence. There is always some type of new player forum where questions get moved to.

Character bag slots are 400gems
Bank slots are 600gems.

The big bonuses of extra bank slot purchase are:

- bank slots accout wide (i.e. over all characters)
- 30 slots and you don’t need to make a bag
- most slots a bag can hold is only 20.

I would definitly go for the bank slot purchase – unless you have lots of money.

Unless you’re stock piling materials or something I can’t think why you’d want extra bag slots anyway.

I find as long as I send the collectables to the bank every so often I have more than enough space and I don’t even have all 20 slot bags yet.
