PvP Unranked Too Easy...?
Getting a lot of points doesn’t mean you played well, it just means you did stuff that got you points. The point system is generally considered to not be a good indicator of your contributions to your team. Another thing is that classes/builds that roam a lot(like thieves) will have a higher score because they participate in more fights. I’m not calling you a bad player just pointing out that score is a bad measurement system.
You will find more challenge in ranked I’d say, only because you are more likely to go up against people that actually care about their rank. That and you will go up against pre-mades more often.
It’s a medical condition, they say its terminal….
It really depend on which team you gonna end up against and it’s highly variable. Sometime I guess reckt in ranked and have easy win in unranked. Sometime it’s the other way around. Sometime you play against player of the same caliber than you but they play on a new character and they seem bad. Sometime you play against player that are new, but play their main and they have it easy. Sometime you play against pre-made team that are good together, sometime you play against pre-made that play together for the first time, sometime you play against pugs that just work well together. You never know. Of course the better you get, the better the player against which you gonna play are gonna be better (usually). My friend always told me that they see the difference when they play with or without me. I play in PvP a lot more than they do, so they usually win when they play without me, but it’s usually difficult game when they play with me. Player are betters, stomping and rezzing are far harder and rotation are quicker.
It will always be highly variable. Sometime you gonna have it easy, sometime it’s gonna be hard and sometime you gonna get destroyed. But as you play more, you gonna get out of the bottom of the list and you gonna fight against ppl that actually play pvp on a regular basis.
I wouldn’t even consider my self a great player, so for me its normal to get about 200ish as a score per round in Unranked PvP. Not sure if that’s good or bad so I’m not gonna brag about it (haha) but I was wondering if Ranked matches prove more of a challenge? I just played a few Unranked matches as a thief with a friend who joined the game LAST MONTH (I’ve played since launch) and he was 2nd on the scoreboard behind me… Should I try ranked or something? (I’m Husrah, and he’s my friend Arkianos)
PS: I get this sounds a lot like a brag post but it’s a legitimate question! Thanks!!
I got this matchup in Unranked. The higher MMR you are, the more likely you are to match with better players.

Unranked has the better players as most of the good PvP players went back to Unranked as the Leader board is just dependent on quantity of games played and frequency of games entered rather than quality of wins and losses and win %.
So you will get better pugs and such in Unranked than Ranked. Especially if there is a reward involved for the top 10, 100, 1000, etc. in the ranked leader board (Such as last Wintersday) on the official website and lots of new people to sPvP come in to try to get that said reward.
Personal Score is NO direct influence over TEAM score.
TEAM score is the win condition.
Also, currently, matching prioritizes group/party-size then rank/player-skill. 2-man parties will be matched with other 2-man parties then pugs are used to fill the remainder. This is because groups/parties are more likely to be more organized so they’re paired together as a priority. It’d be really unfair if a 4-manned party with 1 pug is put up against a team of 5 pugs (normally)
