Hi guys,

With the purchase of my Digital Heroic Edition, I got a set of Legacy Armor, and I picked Primeval heavy armor. I got the full set of skins to apply, but in addition, I also got a full set of the armor with minimal stats (Defense: 36, +6 Vitality for the chest piece). What is this set good for?

Thanks for any help!

Looks like you got armour with the skin to start with without blowing your free use straight away. That’s nice of them. You can leave your unused skins in the bank until you get all set up at 80 (if you want).

You can use them to wear the skin from the beggining, and also as a way to try it out with other pieces for mixing and matching and playing with dyes, without having to use the free skins or use a transmutation charge.

It’s a pile of Elonian protection magic, mixed with a little monk training,
wrapped up in some crazy ritualist hoo-ha from Cantha.
A real grab bag of ‘you can’t hurt me. They’re called Guardians.

You can play around with the mix and match anyway using the wardrobe.

Also for a New player the stats are better then most of the Beginner gear….. The skins will be handy for later though mine say they are unlocked so I am not sure if I can dump them now???

When it says it’s unlocked that means it’s been added to your wardrobe. So you won’t lose the skins and can reapply them at any time even if you don’t have a copy currently.

But doing it that way will cost a transmutation charge. The skin items let you apply them once for free.

So it’s up to you really. Keep the items and use them for free, or delete them to free up the space and spend a transmutation charge later on.

But wardrobe isn’t 100% perfect. It gives you a perfect 100% white light, there are very few places in the world that give you that kind of lighting so sometimes armor you see working perfectly together in the wardrobe don’t look as good in the general world, plus if you want to play with dyes the only way to do it is by previewing dyes, but doing so previews the dye in the same channel for all armors, so you can’t see how it would look if you want a specific dye in channel 1 of one piece of armor and channel 2 on another.
