Q: will pc and iMac users play together?
clients are different but they point to the same servers.
NA and EU people cannot play together in the same instance.
People that live in Europe can join the NA server, but if he already have a character in an EU server he can’t play with NA players.

So my friend would have to make character on NA server so we wouldnt have any problems? It doest say u can transfer so would that be an option to move over if he made on Eu?
The wiki states that you can transfer from NA to EU and vice-versa.
Players can transfer from NA to EU worlds and vice-versa, but not between China and the EU/NA regions.

I have a friend but he has a iMac and i have a PC . Will we be able to play together?
2nd part of question im from NA but he maybe forced to goto EU will i be able to play wit him in game still? Is he allowed to join NA sever when he sets up account?
Im just asking ahead of time so i can answer his questions about this subjects.
It’s fully cross-platform; I’ve been playing the Mac “beta” since day one with my PC friends. As far as the server stuff goes, listen to the other guys.
There is a also Mac Beta forum here; you should check it out. Some good info there.

Mac and PC users are all on the same game, the only ones who are totally separate are Chinese players.
And as other people have said if you’re on an NA server and he’s on an EU one you won’t be able to play together. But he will have the option to pick an NA server when he first starts the game (if he’s in Europe the default list will be EU but there’s an option to switch).
He (or you, or anyone else) can also transfer between regions. But to do that you have to either pay gems or delete all your characters.
