A quick question here. I bought the quaggan backpack skin and transmuted it onto my exotic soldier’s backpiece. Now, I’m going to buy the Fractal Capacitor (the exotic version) from FotM. I was wondering

1. Will there be any problem with transmuting the skin from the soldier’s backpiece onto the Fractal Capacitor?

2. When I later on upgrade the Fractal Capacitor into Fractal Capacitor (ascended) and eventually into Beta Fractal Capacitor (infused), will the skin persist on the item or will Zommoros steal my cute quaggan?

Zommoros will eat your Quaggan.

Don’t transmute the Quaggan over until you are ready with the final version of your Fractal piece.

Or, transmute the Quaggan off, just to safeguard it.

I’m not sure, but i think the name of the item changes depending on the skin. So if you transmute your Quaggan Backpiece, it will become a Quaggan Backpiece with ascended stats and thus you can’t even upgrade it any more.

I have a Prototype Fractal Capacitor (Ascended) with quaggan skin, so now i can’t upgrade it anymore ?

You can upgrade it, but you will lose your skin.

The mystic forge gives you an entirely new item. And your skin will be lost.

Ok great, so i can upgrade it to the shiny skin (and loose quaggan skin).
