I was asking where to mine crystals since the patch and was told I had to go to my home instance.

I do not know what or where it is.

I was told if I hadn’t received it over the last few story patches that I was out of luck.

I am wondering could I have received it without knowing?

If not is there anyway to get it?

If I am just out of luck. What part did I miss to end up where I am?

The quartz crystal node was an award from the Bazaar of the Four Winds meta achievement. If you didn’t get it, you can buy quartz from the Trading Post for copper.

If you got the meta achievement reward, the home instance is in any of the racial cities (not Lion’s Arch). It differs from city to city, but your personal story often has you visiting it in your race’s capital.

Didn’t realize it was a meta achievement. Boo. So it’s only for players who can do jump puzzles and fractals.

You can also mine it from another player’s home instance if they have node unlocked.

So teamed with somebody in their character’s home city. Yea that happens like never. All the teams I’ve been on break up within a minute of a dungeon path completion unless they plan to run another one right away. Make it all the way back to a city teamed? Maybe if their family or RL friends but guild mates or pugs, never.

That part is not going to be consistent in any way. My guild mates happens to be my friends as well. Judging from some of the forum posts I am certainly not the only one like that. Just noting the possibility.

Well not everybody have RL friends who play MMOs, play this MMO and play this MMO at the same time of day.
