Hello boys and girls

My question is about the black lion exchange system. Is the trade system server wide or is it cross server?

If its as i think and cross server, dont you think this is slightly damaging to server economy?

My other Question is as follows. Is it possible to trade between two characters only using the blacklion exchange?

If not is there any way to do this in a safe way?

Tis not what they can do for you
Tis only what you can do for all

As far as I know your personal bank is open to all of your characters. Simply deposit on one and withdraw on the other.

If you are talking about two characters that are not your own alts, then you can use the mail system.

I think it’s across all servers (just judging from the sheer number of items available). I don’t see why it would hurt a server’s economy. What it does is put all the servers on an equal economic footing, so that mats don’t end up being extra expensive on Server A but super cheap on Server B.

While it creates extra supply, it creates extra demand as well. There might be a reason servers/worlds should have unbalanced economies, but I can’t think of one.

It is cross server. I think it is this way for a few reasons. One reason is it is salable. Low population servers have the same materials available as the high population servers. Also one server is not necessarily richer then the other.

I just wish people would stop selling everything for vendor cost and sometimes selling stuff for a loss. Its great for leveling my crafting but horrible for trying to make gold.

I think that this will fix itself over time for some items. The majority of crafting items are Tier 1 and Tier 2 at the moment. This is mainly due to that is where the majority of the player base is playing.

Yeah, people fail at math a lot here I think. They never do the math of the listing costs so they lose money by listing it over vendoring it. Sorta frustrating.

As my friend said, they’re not actually selling those items, rather they’re just getting rid of the items they consider “trash” wherever they are when they picked it up.

It is easier that way because you just have to press ‘O’ and voila, you’ve gotten rid of the items you do not want. No need to go to town and find an NPC to sell those items.

End-result, prices are lower than NPC price.
