So I grabbed one of these when they were on sale yesterday because I’m tentatively considering changing up the color scheme on my Charr Engineer. The white / grey color scheme I picked at first just isn’t doing it for me any more. But I’m not 100% sure that I’ll be able to find a better coloring, it may end up that I start looking and can’t find anything else I like more or that any other color scheme I pick would clash with my armor colors (which I’m pretty happy with as-is). I can’t use character creation to even try anything out because I don’t have any spare character slots, and my “new” character wouldn’t have the armor I have in-game anyway.

And thus my question is this… can you “use” the Total Makeover Kit to go into the customization screen, decide halfway through that you don’t want to go through with it, cancel the changes, and keep the kit? Or is it a situation where once you click the thing its gone regardless?

I assume you can cancel it, that seems to make the most sense, but since its something I paid real money for I want to be absolutely sure. Because if I can’t cancel it, I’ll just hold onto it until I grab another character slot or bank it until they start releasing more customization options and I really know I want something changed for sure.

Once you double click the kit you’ll b taken into a character creation screen (its small tho)

You can change anything you want on your character and once you’ve got him looking the way you want, you can chose to either confirm the changes, or cancel.

If you chose cancel, you get to keep the kit and try again later. You can open the panel and play around as many times as you want until you confirm a look.

If you chose to confirm the changes, your kit disappears, your character shoots out smoke and streamers and will have your new changes.

Yep, thats exactly what I needed, thanks. Now I can experiment without fear I’ll lose the kit.
