So I’m currently working towards making celestial armor for an elementalist I’ll be making in the future, and I was wondering if I should also invest in celestial trinkets and weapons or could I use non-celestial gear along side the armor, such as berserker trinkets and weapons.

As said in the note on Metabattle : “It is NOT required to make celestial armor to be equally effective with this build. It does NOT matter where you get your celestial stats from, and it might therefore be more convenient to take some celestial trinkets instead, since celestial armor is heavily timegated. Aim for 125-175 points worth of celestial. (Meaning 125-175 +all stats which is about three trinkets)”

So having like three trinkets seems enough, but to answer you’re question : if you go for celestial armor it appears that you dont have to go for the celestial trinkets and weapons too.

If you have the laurels you can just buy the trinkets. The first year I played this game I only did SPVP and when I jumped to WvW I was able to just by ascended Celestial trinkets. I went full boat celestial on my trinkets, zerker on the daggers, and knights/clerics on my armor (though I’m in the process of changing my armor to get a bit more ferocity).

I’m working on the armor set just to have options, but it is by no means necessary.
