Question about gear
Well that’s a case by case kind of question. The only things which increase Condition dot damage are +Condition stats and Might stacks. Then things like Power, Precision, +Crit Damage, the Fury buff, and Might stacks affect physical attacks.
If you’re split at around 50/50 between Physical and Condition damage sources, you can equip Yellow grade Carrion (+Power / +Condition / +Vitality) gear at 65th. Before that point, you need to focus on one or the other. In the lower levels, Condition damage players use the +Precision / +Condition gear. Their main focus is to increase the damage on their dots, but the +Precision will help them on any Physical damage sources that they have. Or for Physical Damage players, you’ll usually see them focus on things like +Power / +Precision or +Power / +Vitality gear.
There is no single right answer, as so much depends on how you play each character. A warrior with a hammer does not benefit greatly from +condition damage. A warrior with a sword, however, does.
That same sword-wielding warrior, however, can choose to ignore condition damage and still focus on power/precision/critical damage and will probably be just as effective, but in a different way—condition damage is the mark of a steady dps build, while a crit-focused build is more about spike damage.
As a general rule of thumb, as long as the stats you have are used (condition damage on a build that completely lacks damaging conditions) anything is viable, it is just a question of how you want to play the class.

Power effects all attacks. Condition Damage ignores Armor.
So you want power. But if you’re stacking Bleeds or have a constant burn up, Condition Damage will help you on the prolonged fights.
Stick with power/precision/crit damage until you feel you have a well rounded understanding of the game mechanics. They’re easier to synergize with.
Power is your bread and butter damage booster. Precision is good, but crit damage % makes precision even better. Stats scale off one another in that manner. And the power/precision/crit damage trio are the easiest to wrap your head around if you’re not familiar with all the options and how they interact.
Why? Gives needed gear…
Why do you need this gear? To do dungeons… duh.
