Yes, when you send stuff to the trading post, it sends it off using your chosen default carrier. My favorite is the quaggan, because it is the slowest, giving you (and you recipients) time to notice and enjoy the animation.

Yep and everyone sees them. And if you think pigeons out of the corner of your eye are distracting, watch out for quaggans on balloons.

Even after someone mentioned them on the forum it took me a while to spot the pigeons. I know other people who were playing for months before they saw them.

The new ones are definitely more noticeable. I only have the confetti one but even that is hard to miss. But unless you’re standing at the trading post for an extended period of time I can’t see that you or people around you will get enough mail for them to get annoying.

When I do get mail I find the new carriers quite fun. It also gives me a hint as to who is sending it, for example if I see a quaggan floating towards me I know it’s probably from my guild leader.

(If you’re looking for a custom carrier that’s not overly flashy though my recommendation would be the Ghostly Mail Courier. It walks rather than flies and is a lot ‘calmer’ than many of the others.)

Not to mention if you actually play with the sound on (like I do), there’s the bonus of that adorable little ‘Cooo!’ at the end, which never fails to put a grin on my face.

Of course, I belong to a guild that spends half their time running around as Quaggans on a daily basis… others’ mileage my vary
