Hello,

I have a quick question about the transmutation splitter. I went through a phase of using the same back item and transmuting a new skin on it when I found a new one i liked. If i were to use the transmutation splitter on my back piece (giving me one skin and the item I believe) would I then be able to use another on the subsequent item to split it again into its two parts? How many times can this be done? I’m trying to get back a skin from a few transmutations ago which I really wish I had saved.

Unfortunately the splitter does not give you back previous skins. Your item does not have a history. What happens is you get the skin that’s currently on it, the upgrade(s) , and the base item, for a backpiece it might be a spine guard or an ascended quiver, it depends.
