I am getting ready to purchase my first ascended item and was wondering if I get it from a normal laurel dealer can I place a WvW infusion in it? And vice versa if I get a WvW ascended item can I put a normal infusion in it?

Now to figure out the item I want for my guardian. Thank you all for the help.

Yes you can the only difference in the items is how they are acquired, the item is still the same. So you can put any infusion in it (as long as you get a defensive slot and defensive infusion or offensive slot and offensive infusion).
