Guild Wars 2

Can someone tell me what the dialogue options are for that i get at times. like when you can answer with a crown or heart or whatever and something else. i remember choosing the option as charming i think, but im just curious as to what effect they have if any on the story or anything else in the game thanks.

They have minor effects on some NPC conversations.

Nothing on the level of, for example, paragon or renegade would in the mass effect series for example. Mainly flavor dialogue.
