Now im aware crafting is the fastest way to level. even today, but i find it tedious and boring. i do like to battle

There used to be an event in lion’s arch in that big circle place were you could enter that massive dungeon and kill bosses all day and level, i cant remember the name of it

But unfortantly i missed that event. came back to gw2 just after it had ended

Im wondering if there’s anyway quick tricks to leveling that doesn’t involve crafting

Run dungeons, each path grants about 1 level

Buy Tomes of Knowledge at the glory vendor.

Fastest to slowest for me;
- Buying Tomes of Knowledge (if you have the glory already)
- (Crafting)
- Dungeon running (assuming you have people accepting lower levels or let you relog at the end)
- Event-chains with a lot of killing (e.g. Modniir Ulgoth meta-event at 40-60)
- Exploring
- Champtrains

Bonus argument for this, halfway march glory will stop being awarded for PvP matches and glory reward vendors will be gone. the generic vendor will remain, but this is the right moment to spent glory

The easiest method outside of crafting is exploration of the capital cities and then branching off of them. Getting 100% completion for Lion’s Arch is gonna be tough though…..also, champ events pay well in EXP. Check out dragon timers on Google.

Hi, iv leveled 4 characters from 1 to 80 on the last 1 month. And i can say for sure this works:

WITH boosts/special/etc: Crafting, Dungeons, Buying PVP tomes

WITHOUT special things: Way Point and Skill Point hunt. They give more exp than hearts/living story/events, comparing time-wise.

Once u get to a map, go running to all WP and SP, while u doing it, u will end up doing only easy hearts, meet the story chapters, getting Points of Interest and doing events.

Im saying this cause when u pursue only these two, u end up doing other stuff naturally, ending up time-wise with lots of exp and map completation. If u fo for hearts/pois/events, u will waste lots of time (saying by experience) waiting, figuring out, and other stuff.
P.S: ALWAYS get the nodes u pass by, great exp, little time.

TIP: I know u dont want to do Craft, but Cooking and Artificing are really easy to level.

If you want to actually explore, then doing map completion in zones can net good XP. If you just want fast leveling trading off doing story instances and Renown Hearts in Zones net the most XP per time invested (getting to the Hearts is a different matter). Note that some Hearts do NOT fall into the good XP/Time category, but these are far and few between.

Per above, you obviously want to pick up the WP in Zones, but I certainly don’t recall them giving “good” XP (tho they are easy XP). I suggest traveling to LA and completing the map (takes about 15 min) and then traveling to each city and clearing them. Then go after each starter zone and work up from there. I usually clear them, but picking up the WPs and easiest to access Hearts will likely yield the best XP/Time ratio. Clearing the maps DO provide you with XP and some loot (really GOOD loot in the higher end zones), but obtaining skill points and Vistas very widely in how easy they are to complete or access.
