Guild Wars 2

The wording on runes are really strange. They use “struck,” “when hit,” and “on hit.”
“Struck” and “on hit” are pretty obvious when they trigger, but what does “when hit” mean? Is it when you get hit or when you hit something?

I think that Struck is when you get hit, so When Hit means when you hit.
