I recently have been wanting to do some mat farming in orr but there just never seems to be any1 there, is there a new awesome farming place or is my server just being quiet? (I’m on Whiteside ridge btw)

There has been some changes to orr that makes it less interesting to farm there. This basicly destroyed the interest in that entire area and I think that Arenanet should think again bout these changes and the impact it has on this game.

The Dragonbash stuff has certainly siphoned people away. I’m on Tarnished Coast which usually has most temples open. Yesterday I went to get my new 80 her Temple gear and I had to guest to Jade Quarry to find an open Arah vendor; TC had no temples at all, and looking at the site list of open temples only 1 to 3 servers overall had any particular one open.

There may also be anti-farming issues as mercury ranique suggests, I dunno. I will blame the festival for now.

It used to be full of people farming but then they “improved” it. Longer time between events, events now spawn champions, mobs appear that can one -shot you, other mobs spawn hordes of veteran mobs that are both hard to kill and also do not drop anything. Change by change they made it less attractive to go there.

I guess its quiet there on most servers, sometimes people will do temples, but not as much as world bosses. So what is left is a few people (very few) who farm mats and go there for completion purposes…
pretty sad I think, that the final areas are the least populated ones…

The other thing is that with the API and timer sites there is no need to be in any of the maps to do the temple events. Before you had to be there or have a friend/guildmate in there.
