Could anyone tell me why would anyone go for Quiver of Swift Flight, if you can just craft Quiver of a Thousand Arrows for cheaper and pick Berserker stats? By cheaper I mean that Claws are a better option than Blood. Or did I miss something?

There isn’t any reason to go for the more expensive quiver.
That aside are you looking for the cheapest quiver or just the cheaper ascended back item?

The Quiver of a Thousand Arrows initially had a set of stats that included Magic Find, back when it was a statistic on equipment. When Magic Find was removed from equipment, all old gear that had Magic Find on it instead allowed players to choose their own stats to replace it. The Quiver, along with There With Yakkington, some of the Hallowe’en skins and a few other Mystic Forge recipes, were never updated to get new ‘base’ stats, so the stat selection option remains even for new items that are created now.

And yes, this does mean that at current prices no one should make the Quiver of Swift Flight or Koss on Koss when the cheaper Vicious Claw recipes provide identical skins and (depending on your choice) stats.

A time ago magic find was a stat that could be in gear and Quiver of a Thousand Arrows was one of them, after the removal of that stat you started to pick which stat it will have from a list, that is why such a thing exist.

EDIT: I was beat to it -_-

Charter Vanguard [CV] – HoD
Bardy Belzebuson – Ranger Sir Belzebu – Herald
(and the other 8 elite specs maxed too)

What about if you don’t do fractals .. can the cheaper one meanwhile also be done
with bloodstone instead of the myst essences ?

EVERY MMO is awesome until it is released then its unfinished. A month after release it just sucks.
Best MMOs are the ones that never make it. Therefore Stargate Online wins.

Oh right forgot about that. No the selectable ones didn’t get the bloodstone dust option.
