Guild Wars 2

So I got an ascended chest with rabid weapons and all I can find are engineer builds. Is there ANY other class that can use it well? I have extra characters slots so I have every class EXCEPT engineer!

Unfortunately, I am not aware of any ideal builds for a weapon with rabid stats. However, don’t despair if you can’t find one yourself as you have the option of simply transforming the weapon into a new one with whatever stats you want by using the “Anthology of Heroes” from Miyani. For example, I got an ascended weapon chest with rampager stats which I did not need so after selecting the type of weapon I wanted (staff), I changed it from a rampager weapon to a bezerker weapon. The process is relatively cheap and easy to do.

I use rabid equipment on my PVE ranger. I’m not sure if there are any builds on the forum or other sites for it, but it works well for me.

I use rabid armour and weapons (shortbow, sword and torch) and then trinkets that give ferocity. I aim for most points in condition damage, with toughness second and enough precision for about 50% chance of critical hits and enough ferocity for them to do 200% damage. I’ve also got some stray points in power because of what ascended trinkets are available.

Obviously it’s not remotely a meta build and no I wouldn’t dream of trying to join a zerker only speed clear dungeon groups, but for me doing open world PvE, dungeons with friends, Silverwastes etc. it works well.

Use ascended weapons for the skins and then swap them to a useful stat.

Ascended equipment stat change

Ascended quality weapons and armor can have their attribute bonuses changed (in the Mystic Forge).

IMPORTANT NOTE: All upgrade components slotted in the equipment will be destroyed in the process.
