Rabid Stats
Warrior can do loads with Rabid. Condition builds. They’re far from junk gears. I actually think Warrior is one of the better condition build users, if done right.
Engineer can also use them, and im not sure how well it goes with Necromancer, but it might be worth a look.
As long as you’re not doing dungeons Rabid is a viable stat for most professions (yes Warrior).
Basically if you have a “Bleed on crit” trait then Rabid or Rabid combined with Carrion/Dire can be put to use. Most commonly in WvW non-zerg builds.
Necros and Warrs are probably the two professions best suited to using Rabid. Rabid as Sagramor said is good in wvw because good damage mitigation is a must with all the blob fighting.
Mixing it either with Dire/Carrion for a tanky roaming condition build or mix with Sinister for a more offensive style of condition character.
I use rabid on my ranger. It’s pretty much perfect for me since I wanted a condition/critical hit build with toughness as a 3rd stat. (Although I do use other stat combos on trinkets, particularly to get the ferocity to make critical hits worthwhile.)
The game seems to be slowly moving away from beserker being the favoured stat combo everywhere. Silverwastes is particularly brutal to zerker builds (I seem to spend a lot of time reviving them and/or reassuring them that they won’t lose out on loot if they waypoint).
But even now as other people have said pretty much any condition build, or simply any build that uses a lot of conditions, can benefit from rabid.
“Life’s a journey, not a destination.”
Anything but Ele and Guardian can make good use of Rabid.
2 options: -use the boxes to unlock Asc. Light Armor skins for Collections to save a ton of gold/mats
-use for armor pieces that aren’t as important for stats in your regular build (helm/gloves/boots) if you could use the extra toughness/defense stats. Rabid has precision and ,with full Might stacks+Fury, the condi damage won’t be a complete waste, especially on a Warrior.

The only profs I would say that could use Rabid would be Engineer, Warrior, Necro, Ranger and Mesmer. Outside of that there’s really not much of a use for the crit. Even certain condi builds eschew crit when “bleed on crit” traits are not taken.
So that bumps the list up to Ele, Guardian, and Thief.

I can’t imagine how Ferocity would be a good investment when your primary gear stat spread is Rabid. Unless of course you’re playing a poor-man’s Celestial build and using some Rabid while you build up enough crystals for Celestial gear.
Love rabid!
Sure it’s not exactly “meta”, but I never cared for the meta anyway.
It is useful for condition builds, but thats about it.
Play around with it and try it out for yourself. If you like it, great! If not, well you can always sell it to a vendor or delete it.

Zerker stats is the meta for speed group dungeon runs.
In all other places, you have various choices for all professions
