Hi there! I was thinking of making a ranger. What race should I make it? Which race do you recommend? Which race has the most fun gameplay? Which race is best fit for a ranger? Thanks!

Races have very little to distinguish them. Racial skills do not matter all that much.

Asura, Sylvari, and Humans have creature-y summons as elite skills which may feel like a fit for your Ranger (though honestly grasping vines or rampage as one are probably better fits for most situations). Norn can transform into their beast forms which may fit an image you have, and they have normal utility skills to call owls and wurms though they’re mostly useless.

Sylvari are probably my favorite race from a character size perspective. Especially for jumping puzzles and platforming gameplay. But none of it really matters otherwise.

I think the only one that fits the least is Asura.

I’d place Sylvari, Charr and Norn in my top 3, though.

I have a human ranger, but if I had to do it again, I would go with a norn.

1st Norn (female)
2nd Sylvari (male)
3rd Charr (female)
4th Asura (female/male)
5th Human (male)

also i have a norn ranger and i can ensure you that a female norn really well suit gs/sword/lb-sb skills

I have played a ranger on every race and I like sylvari best for their seed turrets.
