Okay, I’m sure this has come up, but I’m trying to decide what race to make my warrior. I haven’t worried much about range etc. with my other characters, but given the warrior is such a powerhouse melee character I wanted some input.

Basically, is it worth making as big a Charr/Norn as possible in order to maximise range on the greatsword, or is this not a factor? As I said, I don’t worry about this with my other characters, so this isn’t simply a case of “make what you’ll find most fun”, I’d like to know if there’ll be a combat advantage to making as big a character as possible (obviously acknowledging I’m also a bigger target).

Thank you.

I’m about 99.9% (repeating of couse) sure that it doesn’t matter.

“We have no first-person view because stupid people would lock into it”
“You can’t have more than 10 HS decks because that would confuse people”
“30 fps is more cinematic”

I’m 100% sure that all races have the same speed, hitboxes, range, etc. They are all equal.

80 Guardian. 80 Warrior. 80 Thief. 80 Engineer. 80 Necromancer. 80 Ranger.

But the Greatswords look so much bigger on a giant norn/charr than say, a tiny asura! I’ll take your word for it, but it feels like you’d notice if your asura was swinging and hitting things three feet away…

How something looks and how something is coded are very difference. Trust me, if one race had an advantage over another 95% of people would be that race

80 Guardian. 80 Warrior. 80 Thief. 80 Engineer. 80 Necromancer. 80 Ranger.

I do notice when my Asura is swinging and hitting things three feet away!

I chalk it up to aerodynamics.
