I have been looking into Racial Achievements and learned that I have to have at least one of every race to level 80 so they can complete Part 3 of their Personal Story and to get the Emperor’s New Wardrobe achievement, and I need to get a Norn or Charr to align with Ogres to complete the Mapping Tyria Achievement since they are the only ones who can go to Agrak Kraal. I thought they were the only races that could go to Onager Bivouac but I must have misread something because according to the Wiki, any race can get there by selecting “Dishonored by Allies”.

Two questions: What achievement do I get by completing Part 3 of the Personal Story? Are there any other achievements (or anything else) based on race that I have missed?

I have 10 character slots and would eventually like to have one human for each profession and a key farmer after getting all the racial stuff done.

Note: I edited to correct errors in my original question.

You don’t actually need a member of the race to purchase the racial armor. You’ll get a warning that you’re buying gear you can’t equip, but it’ll let you buy and it counts for the achievement.

The racial story is something you’ll need them for of course.

The Ogre thing can be worked around; by joining someone elses story and accepting credit you can get a “minor race story” usually unavailable for your race. Probably not worth the hassle, if you’re going to do the lvl 30 story you might as well do the 40 and 50 stories too.

Once you finish the L30 arc on all 5 races, you no longer need worry about race. After that it is the 3 Order arcs you need, so you don’t need each race to L80. You really only need 5 Races for L30 arc, 3 Characters for the Orders arc, and 1 Character to finish the L80 arc.

You do receive Black Lion Chest Keys at ‘Setting the Stage’ (L40) and ‘Battle of Claw Island’ (L60). You can read in the Wiki what each L30 Personal Story chapter rewards.

As above, you can purchase Cultural Armor with any character, at any level. It’s not like your L80s would use it, anyway. (It’s less expensive in WvW.) Just unlock the skin and throw it in the Forge.

You can use the (Hero Panel) Achievements to check for any Achievements you need, backed up by the Wiki.

It’s been sooo long since I’ve done the Explorer Achievement, but it was one of the first I did, long before the Personal Story. Are you sure Agrak Kraal doesn’t unlock just be being close to it?

Do be aware, if you join another’s Personal Story instance, and accept progress on their arc line, you won’t be able to move back to your arc line until the Level arc is finished.

Good luck.

Thank you both for your advice. I will have one of my level 80 humans buy the cultural armor when I can afford them all (making ascended armor is costing me more than I thought LOL). I finally found the Racial achievements in Wiki under “Hero (Achievements)”.

I went near Agrak Kraal as suggested and got the Achievement, Thank you for the suggestion!

It might be worth it to do ‘Setting the Stage’ for each race to get the BLC Keys. I usually only open one chest a week after key farming.

It is almost always more beneficial to sell the cultural armor back to the vendor for gold rather than forging it.
