hi everyone, im brand new to guild wars and before i create a character i have a question.

I know each race has racials, can you use those racials in WvWvW? or in the other smaller battlegrounds?

You can use racial skills in WvW and PvE, but not structured PvP

Okay thanks, as for the effectiveness of some of the racial s, such as sylvari grasping vines racial, it seems amazing, especially for a melee character in WvWvW. how effective do those racial become once you get all your other abilities from your profession?

It all depends on your build, The racial skills will take from the utility and elite skills so make sure you check out your profession utility and elite skills too.
