Guild Wars 2

I’ve been playing Ranger a good amount lately testing all the different kind of PvP builds I could use and can’t really find one that I’m comfortable with. I’d like to be using a ranged weapon of some sort since I found that when using greatsword i was too squishy and dying too often. I also tried a shortbow + axe/horn condition build but felt like I wasn’t doing enough damage. Any rangers out there got some advice on trait builds/skills/items?

I use a shark and swamp drake for water areas and wolf,bear for "dry"lands.
I use both a short bow and long bow. Basically I start with my long bow and hit target form long range, and switch to shortbow for close up combats while kiting the target around.
