Guild Wars 2

The description of this trait states: “Moa, bird, and jellyfish pets grant AoE vigor (5s) [sic] when activated.”

I have two questions:
1. What constitutes as “activated”? Swapping pets?
2. Does the AOE vigor applies to allies?

I tried it out in PVP with two moas but the effect doesn’t seem to work (hence I couldn’t check if the AOE applies to allies). Will appreciate any help I can get. Thanks for reading!

It seems to me that I checked this during the beta weekend and the effect was only applied to my pet because of the short range. (I was using longbow so wasn’t close to him) I assume it would hit allies he is near, otherwise why be an aoe? And I think the ‘when activated’ was when my pet felt like using it himself.

You should check it out though in case I am wrong or it has changed.

I am trying to build a full time support ranger,hence my question. I still couldn’t get the trait to work though. Hopefully some experienced ranger can provide some advice,I’m probably missing something here.

In the meanwhile I have sent a query to the ArenaNet support team as well. Will update here once I have an answer from them.
