Guild Wars 2

Ok guys another post about which class to run, but I am really stuck on which one to give ago. I know very little about either class. I play a hell of a lot of pve mixing it with WvW as well. Never really any PvP.

So I ask the class that’s good for
Dungeons.
Fractals.
Pve
WvW

My 80’s are
Guardian
Engineer

I want to play something different from the two classes above.

Thief.

I enjoy Ranger and reccommend it for new players. But since you’ve played a while and plan to do WvW, go with Thief as the dev there has a lot of pull wink wink nudge nudge

Trying to find a Dungeon or Fractal group with a Ranger will be in stark contrast to your experiences with a Guardian. Ranger Pet mechanic is a liability to any group in any area where high damage, single hits are abundant. (Pet’s don’t dodge big hits. so they quickly die to them).

Dont’ get me wrong, Rangers are fun to play and I love mine, they just have a distinct disadvantage that makes them less effective than other classes in certain areas of the game.
