Guild Wars 2

I have a Level 63 ranger that I have spent a lot of time on, but I feel like I can’t find a good build for the ranger that will let me be helpful in WvWvW. I created a warrior and have been playing as that for a bit. The warrior is only level 6, So I’m not sure if I should just stick with my ranger because of all the time put in or start playing as a warrior. I would love to hear other people’s suggestions Thank you.

Well, level 6 is a bit early to decide if the class is for you or not … I suggest taking your warrior to at least lvl 20 and open all the various weapon combination skills.

As for the ranger, I took mine to lvl 80 and still enjoy playing the class. Yes, rangers currently do not have the greatest variation in build due to borked skills, pets and the like. However, rangers are still one of the most successful PvE classes. If you play PvP, then level your warrior instead…

Rangers and warriors are both classes that are pretty easy to play. the advantage is that in WvWvW you can be ok. Other classes are harder to master, but gives you the possibility to excell and with skil, practise and talent, be better then others.

So hearing what you think I would not suggest considering to play a warrior but I would advise to bring the ranger to level 80, so you have the full potential of the class. Then if you still don’t like the ranger, try something totally different, that is harder to master. For example, thief, mesmer or engineer.

Rangers are probably one of the worst classes to do dungeons with and warriors are the second best. I have a ranger and warrior doing fractals 20+ on both and the warrior is a lot more useful and i don’t get kicked out for being a ranger right after being invited. Ranger discrimination doesn’t happen all that often, but any content that’s difficult cannot bear more than 1 ranger in the party, whilst a 5 warrior party with good players can clear anything.
